Snack Collection

I have not been paid for this review and I paid for the appliance.

I love this little machine and the fun of using this kicked off my obsession with kitchen appliances. We used to have a waffle maker when I was little and I had dreams of having waffles again so went in search of a machine.

When I found one that is a chameleon and changes it's use depending on the plates, then I had to have it.

It came with 2 plates. Waffles (oh yeah) and club sandwich. The club sandwich plates are what I would call filled toasted sandwiches or jaffles where the toasted sandwich plates don't seal the edges like the club sandwich ones.

All up there are 16 plates that you can collect for this machine.

  • Club Sandwich
  • Toasted Sanwiches
  • Grilled Panini
  • Wafers
  • Square Waffles
  • Heart Shaped Waffles
  • Bricelets
  • Turnovers and Empanadas
  • French Toast
  • Pancakes
  • Donuts
  • Small Bites
  • Small Bars
  • Biscuits
  • Mini Madelines
  • Mini Bagels

I didn't purchase them all as I have a perfectly good grill to do paninis, toasted sandwiches, pancakes etc. However quite a few did make it into my basket. I also don't see the need for 2 different shaped waffles. The ones in red are the plates I have.

Positives
Lots of fun with the different plates encouraging me to make things I normally wouldn't
Easy to change plates

Could be improved
Club sandwich plates do not have much depth to them so you can't put in much filling otherwise it all oozes out. Some users put baking paper under the bottom bread.
Club sandwich plates are also too small for a lot of Australian bread sizes
Batter etc can overflow and go under the plates making it a bit harder to clean but still not too difficult.
